With two SO-DIMM slots designated for DDR5 system memory, Area-51 laptops can support up to 64GB of memory.[5] This amount exceeds the needs of a majority of popular games but can assist gamers who create where multiple applications may need to be ran at the same time such as video editing, streaming, and playing large scale games simultaneously.

Storage that keeps up

Area-51 is the first Alienware laptop to support up to Gen 5 SSD storage[6] which is capable of improving read speeds by up to 84% and write speeds by up to 75% over the average performance of various Gen 4 SSDs[7]. Bringing you the latest in storage and performance to run games and work faster than ever before.
Developed by our engineers, Area-51’s new Cryo-Chamber structure, located at the bottom of the laptop, focuses air to the core components where it matters the most. The Cryo-Chamber props up the laptop and introduces a much larger air intake, promoting increased airflow, and features a clear Gorilla Glass panel[8] providing a view of the AlienFX fans. This structure, combined with more copper and bigger fans than ever before, enable a higher power ceiling, up to 280W TPP,[9] without raising acoustics.

Developed by our engineers, Area-51’s new Cryo-Chamber structure, located at the bottom of the laptop, focuses air to the core components where it matters the most. The Cryo-Chamber props up the laptop and introduces a much larger air intake, promoting increased airflow, and features a clear Gorilla Glass panel available on configurations with NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti or higher, providing a view of the AlienFX fans. This structure, combined with more copper and bigger fans than ever before, enable a higher power ceiling, up to 280W TPP,[8] without raising acoustics.
